You have 48 hours of gap time to CONFIRM or CHANGE your appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please go back to the email appointment that was provided when you originally booked and you can cancel/reschedule your appointment there. 

Failure to comply, will result in using the card on file being charged 50% of the scheduled service(s) amount. No exceptions. 

We accept most major credit and debit cards. You also have the option of using the card on file for an easier transaction process. If you prefer to pay in cash PLEASE bring exact cash payment, we do not always have change. 

We take everyone's safety as our number one priority and next up is cleanliness. We use gloves for every service...seriously, even if that’s a facial or a hair removal service. Double dipping is not tolerated and we make sure to disinfect the treatment reusable wax pad between every client use. 

When it comes to COVID policies, we do appreciate when it comes to sick season that you take it upon yourself on canceling/ rescheduling instead of coming in for your appointment. That is if you need to call or text asap. GJS Skincare is run by one in-person employee and we would appreciate being mindful when being sick. 

Wax is applied towards the hair growth and removes against hair growth vs. Sugaring is molded against the hair growth and removed towards hair growth. 

Wax is applied with a clean tongue depressor (no double dipping allowed) on the area and once the wax dries, it’s removed against following with pressure on the area with gloved hands. This service is best recommended to be performed by a professional. 

Sugaring is a natural paste made from lemon, sugar and water. The ball of paste is grabbed with gloved hands and the same ball is used throughout the entire service and once the service is complete, the paste with the gloves is disposed of. Sugaring is less waste, environmentally friendly and best for sensitive/ tender skin. This service is best recommended to be performed by a professional. 

Your choice of hair removal does matter. Both choices of depilation remove the hair root and take 5-6 weeks or more to grow back. Professional waxes are made with different formulas and benefits. GJS Skincare strictly uses Sensitive Skin/Hypoallergenic Hard Wax. 

We respectfully ask to come in with an open mind, hydrate and do not consume caffeine prior to your appointment. Avoiding caffeine does make a difference to your pain sensitivity. You’re welcome to take Ibuprofen or Tylenol 45-30 mins prior to your appointment.

The best thing you can do it ignore the area.. After a hair removal service (24-48 hours), we ask that you let your skin rest so we mean, no touching, no exfoliating, no heat or friction on that area. Skin may feel tender if it’s your first time but, that is completely normal. 

Hair removal in certain areas has different stages of growth and maintenance. 

If you’re interested on knowing the maintenance each section is stated down below: 

• Face hair removal services (eyebrows, upper lip, etc) 3-4 weeks.

• Upper body hair removal (underarms, arms, stomach, etc) 3-4 weeks. 

• Lower body hair removal (Bikini Brazilian, Bikini, Butt, etc) 4-6 weeks.

• Larger areas such as full leg hair removal 4-6 weeks. 

When it comes to pain level, it varies with everyone.  I always apply pressure when removing with wax or sugar and that does help a lot. Most people say it's tolerable.

Yes, we ask that you please insert a clean tampon or diva cup. We do provide complementary tampons if you were to need one. Being on your cycle might increase sensitivity or tenderness. Know that being waxed or sugared on your cycle is completely NORMAL. 

You are never going to be judged at GJS Skincare! 

This time is for you, however we are open to you bringing a guest if needed. We do have a 2 person limit waiting space and there is a door that can be closed for more privacy. 

For an efficient and no stubble result, we ask to let your body hair grow out 2-3 weeks out. The more body hair, the cleaner the results! We appreciate when you come in with growth because if it was not like that, we would not have a JOB!
